Please note that access to the municipal office remains by appointment only.

To improve communication with the citizens, the municipality of Bury has implemented a mass communication service. This service is provided by Somum Solutions.

We will be able to communicate with you during emergency measures, action in civil security or during major situations (ex: boil water advisory). This service can also be used to keep you abreast of the ongoing work on our roads or any other information of public interest. The objective is to eventually eliminate bulk mailings, hence the importance of completing your registration in order to stay informed. The posting of public notices will always be done on the bulletin board outside the municipal office, at the post office and on our website at:

You can choose to receive communications by text, email and urgent information will also be sent over a phone line. To complete your registration, go to:

At the first visit, select new user and complete the form. A temporary password will be sent to you. You must return to the main page and enter your phone number and this temporary password. Once the connection is established, you can validate your information, register your preferences, either by email or voice and also change your password. In the September Newsletter, we will provide you with the dates for help sessions for citizens requiring assistance in completing their registration on the portal. If you have any questions regarding registration or the service, do not hesitate to contact the municipal office at: 819-560-8414.

Dear Visitors,

On behalf of the citizens of the Municipality of Bury and my fellow members of council, I would like to welcome you to our Municipal Website. It is our sincere hope that your visit will be a pleasurable and informative experience.

Once you have completed your tour, my fellow citizens and I invite you to visit our quaint, quiet community in person. Whether you are coming to visit family and friends, to partake in our annual Canada Day celebration, to travel along the Chemin des Cantons, or to search for an ideal village in which to raise your family or retire, know that the citizens of Bury will welcome you with sincere hospitality and friendship. While in Bury, I cordially invite you to enjoy the rich architectural heritage of our town, as well as to play a round of golf at our Municipal owned Pen-Y-Bryn Golf Club, which was originally part of the Pope Estate. Looking forward to the opportunity of seeing you in Bury, I remain,

Sincerely yours,
Walter Dougherty, Mayor
